By Invitation Only by Nicholas L. Maze is an introductory Christian book about what it means to be called to serve God. While the book does provide some background on the author's life, the bulk of the content is general lessons about being a Christian. Some passages from the Bible are referenced, but these are generally general lessons based on the author's knowledge.

What I liked most about this book was how easy the content was to absorb. It is not a work of advanced theology, and the book does not focus much on quoting extensive passages from the Bible. On the contrary, the author provides what he has learned in his years of serving God. Although a Christian with intermediate knowledge will find this work too simplistic, this book can be seen as an interesting introductory book for new converts to Christianity.

The book does not have any significant flaws. As I said, it is not a revolutionary or very complex work. However, in what the author set out to do, the work fulfilled its objectives with merit. I found only two grammatical errors, namely "Satan" written in lowercase letters. Other than that, the book's editing is decent.

Overall, By Invitation Only is a decent introductory book for Christians. The book does what the author set out to do. While the book is not very dense, I don't think that's what the author intended. Within what the author set out to do, the book is flawless. Thus, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

This book was written for Christians. From the description of the book on Amazon, the Christian content is evident. In any case, it is an introductory book. Christians who have read the Bible at least a little will probably find this work simplistic. Therefore, I recommend this work for recent converts or as an introductory guide to present to someone who may be converted to Christianity.
