This review is very comprehensive and simple. I like how you have highlighted the structure of this book in paragraph three. I would like to learn more about those principles that must be mastered in order to develop radical biblical integrity.

Jeremy Gove’s Let’s Be Honest leverages the Hebrew word emet—spanning the first, middle, and last letters of the alphabet—to underscore that true biblical integrity demands unwavering honesty from beginning to end, setting a high bar for Christian living.

Gove’s Pentecostal background shines in his masterful selection of scripture, paired with a clear, conversational style—like his memorable line about a handshake outlasting any contract—that makes Let’s Be Honest both scholarly and relatable.

"Let's Be Honest" by Jeremy Gove is a book that will change readers mentality, ministry and their lives. Gove regards Honesty as an all or nothing proposition. He references the Hebrew word loosely translated as honest is emet. This translation includes the first, middle and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This supports Gove’s belief that to be true, it must be totally true. Gove provided readers with an acronym B-A-S-I-C to make it easier to remember the principles he espouses. Each letter supports a principle that must be mastered to develop radical biblical integrity. Gove devoted separate chapters for brokenness, accuracy, steadfastness, integrity, and creditability. He also begins each chapter with scriptural support for his propositions. The biblical passages cited clearly support the messages Gove is proclaiming. Jesus preached the importance of honesty. Revelations include a principle that states that there will be a list of liars on Judgement Day and these people will be condemned to hell. Jesus told his followers that Satan is behind the evil acts performed on Earth and promoted the first lie when he told Eve about the fruit on the tree that was forbidden by God. Satan and his followers are very active in our world and will get even worse as we near the End Times. This book is excellent and I recommend it to all member of the OBC. Even those that are not comfortable with books about religion this book clearly explains how Jesus wants people to live their lives and honesty is the most important foundation. The examples of the Pharisees promoting themselves as the chosen people by God because they are descendants of Abraham but then they turn around an lie, cheat and condemn the poor. They will be in for a tragic ruling on Judgement Day when they are evaluated for how they lived their lives and be sentenced to hell. I have read the Bible and I am very interested in books about the Bible and the time of Jesus Christ. Some people believe that they can lead sinful lives and ask for God’s forgiveness while they are on their death bed and Jesus will forgive them. Minor sins probably but major sins like killing people or supporting the killing of millions of people will not be forgiven just by asking for forgiveness.

Being a Christian myself, this book's emphasis on honesty might be an interesting take on the fifth I have followed my entire life. I like that it's a unique take, that hinges on scripture with continous references. This sounds like an interesting book. Well done on the review.

I'll be adding this to my bookshelf. The definition of truth in Hebrew is as clear as it can be.For something to be true it should be true at the beginning, the middle and the end. I love that Gove quotes the bible to back up what he is saying.

"Let’s Be Honest" by Jeremy Gove sounds like an informative book because of the B-A-S-I-C steps how to live honestly, and I like how each chapter includes Bible verses.

"Let's Be Honest: Living a Life of Radical, Biblical Integrity" by Jeremy Gove focuses on truth and honesty and contains some thought-provoking points, one of which is “By definition, for something to be true, it must be totally true. Truth must exist at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end.”
“Be wary. Be clever. Be good.”
