In "Where Will Eternity Find You," Glenn F. Stapley embellishes some Bible scenes with creative elements, making them not only fascinating but contemporarily relevant. That is, these biblical scenes are taken from their distant times and made present, and we are invited to meditate and act on the messages they carry. Stapley also shares his own faith journey.

The first thing that captured my interest was Stapley's writing style. I feel the author's creativity is most evident in the way he has adapted these biblical accounts into poetic forms. I was impressed by the rhyming schemes, the vivid descriptions, and the introduction of conversation into some poems. I also appreciated the artful use of the first-person pronoun to make some scenes being recounted in this poetic piece feel more relatable. I will provide two instances in the following paragraph.

The use of the first-person pronoun in the poem "Healed and Whole" helped me connect easily to the woman's pathetic situation and the overwhelming emotions upon her healing. Also, the conversation infused into the poem "Living Waters" made it more compelling and engaging.

Stapley has balanced creativity with authenticity. I liked that he provided context and the inspiration behind each poem. His work has offered Christians a more convenient way to grow themselves in faith and character. I learned a great lesson from the Syrian woman's humility and perseverance. The poem "Jesus I Am Desperate" is so assuring and helped dispel the doubts I have been having about God's offer of friendship and salvation. "Is This the Day" helped me reflect on my submission to God and obedience to his commandments. Also, the poem "My Heart Set Free" reminded me about our shared experiences of a new life in Christ.

Given the aforementioned merits, I rate "Where Will Eternity Find You" five out of five stars. I didn't dislike anything in this book.
