Review of The Magic of Inspirational Messages
Paul William Johnson is a qualified engineer who has also worked in several other roles throughout his life. These include being a city councilman, a wastewater commissioner, a public works commissioner, and a stock trader. He is also a recognized writer and an active participant in musical groups. Paul and his wife Linda are proud parents of five children and grandparents to thirteen grandchildren.
He has spent his entire life thinking about the way things are and has come up with creative techniques to deal with them. He has spent years reflecting on his experiences with family and friends and has documented them in the book The Magic of Inspirational Messages. All five of his children and grandchildren actively use the ideas and creative techniques described in the book, which he believes contain something magical—inspirational messages that can change lives. He wants to share these messages with the world.
The book is divided into three sections, comprising 211 pages in total. The first section consists of fifty-two motivational and inspiring messages, followed by fifteen poems in the second section. The final section includes three tales and five short stories. The writing style of the book is simple and easy to comprehend. It makes the reader feel as if they are receiving advice from a wise and experienced person. The author has thoroughly researched the topics and offers insights on a range of subjects that are relevant to personal and professional growth. He gently points out the mistakes and provides the correct approaches for fixing them. The 52 topics discussed in the book are supplemented with powerful quotes that further emphasize the message. The poems, tales, and short stories are all impactful and easy to understand.
I appreciate that the author didn't limit the book to just one topic. The book covers a wide range of relatable aspects of life, including internal aspects like active inspiration, focus, ego, and optimism, as well as external or worldly aspects like finance, living in the present, and using devices and social media responsibly. I particularly agree with the quotes in the chapters related to extempore, intent, and emotions. However, citing quotes from three chapters does not dilute the significance of the other quotes in the book.
The collection of poems is truly inspiring and thought-provoking. They convey a powerful message that the only limits to what one can achieve in life are self-imposed. You should check out "The Tale of the Goose Herders" and "The Dream Catcher" in the tales and short stories sections, respectively. What's great is that you can choose any topic that interests you and read about it without any specific order or format to follow. The author also suggests moving on to the next topic if the ideas presented don't align with your beliefs. I appreciate that the author doesn't enforce his views with a "know-it-all" attitude.
I read the book and found it to be well-written, with a great layout and valuable content. However, I did notice several errors while reading. Therefore, I recommend another round of editing to ensure that it is error-free. Due to the errors, I had to reduce my rating by one star, leaving the book with a score of 4 out of 5 stars.
The book's content is inspiring and provides a sense of hope. I highly recommend it to anyone who feels stuck in life, as it offers helpful attitudes to adopt that can help you build confidence. Additionally, the book is suitable for all age groups, as it is free from any kind of mature content or profanity. If you enjoyed this book, you might also want to check out the author's other works, which include Thoughtful Texts to My Fantastic Grandkids, Daily and Monthly Inspirational Thoughts for a Year, and 459 Affirmations to Brighten Your Day.

Wow! This book is like an all-you-can-eat-buffet! I also like a book that I can start and finish anywhere! The author has a significantly large family and seems to be leaving such a positive legacy behind. I love that his own family is actively using his ideas and techniques; that is the ultimate buy-in! It sounds like there is a lot of wisdom in these pages. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this book, until next time...Seetha E wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023, 08:49 [Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Magic of Inspirational Messages" by Paul William Johnson.]

This was a lovely read... and best read at a slow pace. The messages are famous quotes at the end of every chapter. Many resonated with me, and it is difficult to pick one. Read the ones about acceptance. Among the 15 poems, Simplicity, Wonderful Life, and Never Just Exist are just a bit more loved. Revisited the notes for the book. Tempted to pick up the book again for a leisurely read.Chi Chiu Michael Mak wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025, 06:58
