This is such an informative and eye opening read. The book provides a lot of information about cancer treatments. I like that the author shares her father's story and elements of his research on cancer treatments. I also love the inclusion of people's personal stories. I'm eager to read this book.

Cancer has cost us a lot. The pain of losing loved ones to this sickness is indescribable. I appreciate all the effort Sylvie Beljanski made to come up with this book: all the research and all the care taken to give a balanced view of traditional and alternative methods when it comes to cancer treatment.

Nice review, well balanced and heartfelt, capturing the scientific strength of Beljanski's work and the emotional weight of Sylvie's journey. I particularly appreciate your highlight of the integrative approach, which values natural remedies without dismissing conventional treatments. Your concise and summary of the core information of the book plus the thoughtful praise plus your emphasis on the its hopeful message explains why it makes for an inspiring read.

Cancer has ravaged many families and has affected both young and old. I'm glad the author has shown other areas that can provide cure for cancer. There's a lot of healing power in certain plants.

“Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure” by Sylvie Beljanski is educational and inspirational and a valuable source of information. This book is scientific non-fiction in ten very organized chapters. Sylvie wrote the book as a tribute to her father. Mirko Beljanski was a brilliant biologist that believed in holistic approaches to medicine along with traditional and alternative cures and was persecuted by conventional oncologists that did not agree with him. The book also makes the public aware of the financial interests of pharmaceutical companies and the corrupt interests of elected officials. Sylvie vowed to carry on her father’s research program. Having just watched my older sister die from a very aggressive cancer I can totally understand Sylvie and Mark’s beliefs in holistic approaches to medicine. After more than 65 of research and testing there are forms of cancer where a cure has not been found. I watched my sister go from a dry cough to an aggressive form of cancer that killed her six months later. Traditional forms of treatment did not slow the growth of her cancer and all the doctors could do was sedate her to keep her pain level under control but they could not stop the spread of her cancer. I am still in shock of how a 73-year-old woman could die so quickly. Morphine for pain and valium for sleep was the only way to help her in hospice. I wish the traditional medicine doctors had considered holistic medicine to slow the growth and extend her life. Mirko Bejlanski found two miraculous plants in nature to help people in their fight against cancer. These two plants stopped the spread of cancer by selectively blocking the cancerous cells from the healthy cells. I cannot wait to read the entire book.
