Stop Moaning, Start Owning

Post by thomaslaw3 »

We have all moaned at some time or another, but that does not necessarily make us moaners. It is when moaning becomes a way of life and a sense of entitlement becomes our norm that we transition into "moaners." Russell points out that we are developing a nation of moaners. In this engaging book he helps us understand why we have gotten where we are and what we need to do to break the vicious cycle of moaning. As Russell points out, with very few exceptions, we really do not have anything about which to moan. We live in a country whose forefathers paved the way, often at great personal sacrifice, for us to be most blessed and that should elicit gratitude rather than moaning. Essentially we moan because we do not want to take personal responsibility and until we do we will not be able to break the terrible cycle of moaning and begin owning our present much less our future.
