Hacked Again: It Can Happen to Anyone Even a Cybersecurity Expert
By Scott Schober
ISBN: 978-0996902212

Being hacked seems to be a common occurrence. Not a week goes by that I don’t hear from one of my friends that their account has been hacked. Weekly, sometimes daily, I receive numerous threatening or enticing phishing emails. At the very least this is time consuming, bothersome, and costly, but it also can be quite devastating. Schober uses a very down to earth, personal, and engaging communication style to help us understand this world which to most of us is so strange and alarming. His stories, personal and corporate, tell us that we are not alone. He, although the expert, like us, deals with this problem on a daily basis. His insight helps us understand the problem, but more importantly gives us clear paths we can use to slow down the process. As he points out, it’s not a matter of whether the hacker is going to take a stab at us, it’s whether we can slow them down enough to encourage them to move on to some easier target. Utilizing his clues, we will no longer be the easiest target on the block and that may be all any of us can really do.
