Argo by Tony Mendez and Joshuah Bearman

Post by afrakes »

I'm late in reading this book, but it's been on my list since the film release in 2012. Having seen the film, I anticipated a suspense story full of calculated action. I was surprised that this book focused more on the career of Mendez and the operations he had been a part of prior to Argo. I felt that this book was slower paced than the film, but there was more buildup as to what goes into the covert operations of the CIA. I would recommend this book to readers interested in the "behind the scenes" aspects of the CIA.
