I agree with Zelda, this is definitely a book I will never read, just because the fact that it was written with a clear hate for religion, sometimes we just need to tolerate and live with the idea that everybody grows with different opinions

It was hard for me to get into this book because of my beliefs. The samples just rambled on trying to get others to be live what he believes.

Thank you, bookowlie, for you objective and balanced review. I read the sample and was turned off right away, and wouldn't waste my time reading the book. The author is not a true atheist, because he starts off by saying that he'll go to hell. A true atheist doesn't believe in life after death.
His suggestion of teaching all religions to children is unreasonable, since no human being is completely unbiased when it comes to their world view.
I enjoy discussions with atheists, but just listening to one-sided ramblings is not my cup of tea.

Latest Review: "The 11.05 Murders" by Brian O'Hare

To be honest, I'm only considering this book because a reviewer in Amazon said that it's thought-provoking. I personally enjoy reading about controversial topics. But your review made me less interested in it... debates are fine with me, but once one party starts to make (as you said in your review) condescending and disrespectful remarks, it turns me off. Still, I might get myself a copy. ^.^

I enjoyed reading your review, by the way! I'm looking forward to more. :)

I wish to acknowledge the congratulations and well-wishing expressed by the Online Book Club members for the BOTD promotion for "Doomed Soul". Your interest and attention are gifts for which I am truly grateful.

Some of you found the work so offensive you could not read it. I knew when I started to write down my thoughts that this would be so. But I cannot regret who I am or what I believe. I would love to express these views in polite diplomatic terms but I do not think it is possible to do so. I stand by my statement in the conclusion, "For the reader who disagrees with me, good. We all have the privilege and right to hold opinions, and to express them."

Robert,

I for one commend you on making your points forcefully. Christians, and other religions, strenuously defend their beliefs, so why shouldn't you. I've read about 14% of your Kindle book and I find myself agreeing with your points and arguments. This line at Location 115 is one I wholeheartedly agree with, "...religions, and faiths in particular, are the most divisive and dangerous forces at work in the world today." It's true, and it has always been true. One needs only to read the history books to find proof of this fact.

All my best,

Michelle Miller
