Of course, my first thought upon seeing this book was, "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz".

I'm so glad to discover it's much more than some " big whig" blathering on about how he made his first million and the reader trying to figure out how to make even half of that during an entire lifetime.

I was wondering if I had read one of your reviews before but now I know I haven't. You have such an easy going authority when you write and have expressed your enthusiasm for this as a memoir, and not merely a "self help" book, in a competent, straightforward way that you make a memorable personal impact. I'm quite sure I would remember if you had crossed my path before.

Thanks for a great review and the encouragement to dive in and be prepared to enjoy this book. I'm looking forward to reading this and reading more reviews from you. :handgestures-salute: :handgestures-salute: :handgestures-thumbup:

Sincerely, Laura-Lee
And they sang a new song saying,
"You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its to seals,
for You were slain and have redeemed us to God,
by your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and Nation." Rev. 5:9

A biography about a military man whose life revolves around different military bases sounds interesting. Thanks for the review.
We're all philosophers. When there's a tough choice to be made, when faced with the facts of birth, love or death or simply when thinking about what we want to do with our lives.

Told through personal stories and experiences, today's BOTD is filled with life lessons about leadership that apply to us all. Not only will you learn techniques to inspire others to be their best, but you will also find encouragement and inspiration you didn't even know you needed. Whelden's words are sure to stay with you long after the last page. Thank you so much for the awesome review!! :-)

Biographies of this caliber are in short supply I think. I have it downloaded and will read slowly in my spare time. Although I'm already wishing I could continue, as you know, there are books daily coming through the pipes here and I'm an average pace reader, preferring to savor stories when I can. Thanks for sharing your views on this book. Sounds fascinating.

I'm not too much interested in the educational part of this book but the world of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps sounds fascinating.

Leadership when told from a perspective of someone who has been there. The real deal. You just gotta pay attention. A very nice review indeed.

I wasn’t so sure if I was interested in this book, especially when I noticed that there is an Appendix titled “Whelden on Whelden”. However, your review, especially your comments about the storytelling, personal accounts and down-to-earth language, may have changed my mind...

Although the military insight sounds interesting, I'm not overly keen on memoirs, I think I will pass. Thank you for your review.

The military dimension of leadership is still a very cardinal aspect of leadership. Though it may employ coercion, it's potent to compel followership is undeniable. Thanks for the review. Your diction is very simple and straight. I'm interested in leadership.
