The topic of healthcare was never one of my biggest interests, but I'm curious because it's not something that is taught in school, you must learn it by living. I believe that this book could shed light on a world that sometimes feels left aside; In addition, the fact that the author tells her personal adventure with this often incurable disease shows how the idea behind this book can reach many people. I would really love to read it.

A book on healthcare by a healthcare practitioner which would serve to enlighten and educate one on the business of healthcare. Thanks for an amazing review.

The author has done an amazing job by giving the reader the insights into the healthcare system, how it has changed over time and some hard hitting realities as well. This a very well written review, which I guess will invite a lot of reader to gather a wealth of knowledge in this area.

Having a guideline to navigate the murky waters of health insurance and healthcare will certainly help to hopefully get the best care for personal health. Great review!

This book isn't for me but I think a book about healthcare and business is useful, particularly in a pandemic.

This book is quite timely considering how much of the country is starting to reopen from the Covid pandemic and people are reflecting back on 2020. I also remember when doctors used to come to your house for visits. I had a doctor who came to my house once when I was little. My mother grew up in a small town just like the author's and she remembers a doctor from France who would make house calls. I think that people need to remember that healthcare is also a business and that the best thing you can do for yourself or someone who love is to be educated about the system.

It's lovely that the author incorporates childhood stories while growing up even as she reveals helpful information on healthcare. This would certainly make the book easier to read. Thanks for the review.

Non fiction books are not my cup of tea but I've read the review and the book does seem pretty informative and very helpful. I especially like the title - those words "the business of healthcare" is so to the point. Treating people has transformed from a simple act of helping and healing people to a financial race of people whose main principle is "the more money the better". Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This probably isn't a book I would select to read for myself, but I can see how it would be beneficial to those facing a serious health crisis. I will keep this book in mind for future reference. Thank you for the review.

Unfortunately, even though this book has much helpful advice, I will pass it, because in my understanding this information is meant to navigate the healthcare system in the USA. Thereby it is useless for readers like me who are from other countries. Sorry and congrats on BOTD!

This book makes an attempt to enlighten and provide important information as health care expenses rise and exploring the health care system as a whole gets increasingly difficult. This book discusses a topic that is both timely and vital. Good review.
