When I was a young kid, my dream was to become a soldier. I never reached it, but I do love reading historical novels.

I love history and I know little about the history of the United States. I am also interested in how the church metamorphosed into what it is today and I am sure I will get an insight into that in this book.

After looking more closely, I realize this book is a historical retelling rather than historical fiction. My mistake. Still interested in reading it!

This is an amazing and interesting novel. This book detailed a lot about the United State history, from their independent struggles to religious factions. There is a lot to learn from this book, I would want to read. Nice Review.

This seems like a great sourse for finding out more about the history of America. However, I don't think it's for me.

History, especially that dealing with military encounters is not something I enjoy. However, I did find the sampling I read intriguing. The author obviously included many details he found while researching for the book.

My greatest accomplishment is that I raised two daughters that love to read.

No doubt that this book would add to my knowledge about the pilgrims and what they went through. Like most nations, America was built by foreigners. There should not be room for racism in America, or anywhere in this world.

Although historical fiction isn't really my thing, I loved reading your review. It's really great to see the author put so much time and effort into researching the topics he wrote about, and that he developed the characters so well. Thanks you for this insightful review!
