Reading this book helped me to develop my self confidence and also helped me to work on so many areas of my life that gave me the sense that I was unhappy. Now I did not completely relate with the author's life and upbringing as that was not the case for me, but nonetheless, the author's challenges showed me that there is always hope no matter the situation I may find myself in.

Honestly I think the author is talking about me. I want to dig deeper into the 6 Cs. The truth is that it is easy to get discouraged along the way, when you decide to embrace change. It is said that we are the change we want to see. I think endurance and patience are what led the author to achieve her goal. Thanks for the informative review.

Great review! I read the free sample on Kindle, and as a matter of fact, the writer makes this book so empathetic that I also felt like I was reading my own life. I do think the preface sums the point of this book up too well, almost as if that was enough to be published on its own, and not a whole book about it.

This books sounds amazing. I’m sure there are so many people that can find similarities in their own lives with that of the author. Since she gives resources to find a way out of the emotional holes many of us find ourselves in, this is definitely a book worth trying.

Self-help books aren't my thing but this one has a lesson to carry home. The six Cs is one thing to ponder on and possibly practice. This is an encouraging book for those who love this kind of genre. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

Reading just a portion of this book makes you realise that you are indeed not alone.i found myself mentally ticking off boxes, maybe not in quite the same circumstance, but brought back feelings and memories and some I'm still going through. I will definitely finish the book.
A big thank you to the author

Seems like really strong person and quite admirable, but I am afraid that tales which involve "domestic violence and alcohol abuse" are not what I would like to read at the moment. Or ever if I am truthful, therefore unfortunately I will have to pass this book. Congrats on BOTD!

"This really hit home as I have low self-esteem from consistently feeling like I disappoint everyone by failing to earn approval growing up. " It hit another home, I guess. One of the best reviews I have read. Simple and sweet. Will definitely read the book. :D
