The book seems to be written as if you were working with a personal coach to achieve your goals. The approach to presenting the concepts appears to make the practical guidance more accessible.

Seems readable. Everyone needs a coach in their life to move ahead. Practically no one is satisfied with where they are and few feel that they don't anymore. Also the way book is written with the format of Guidelines, Focus also adds more to the book.

Thank you for your insightful review of "Coached to Greatness" by John M. Hawkins. This self-help book sounds like an interesting read with great ideas to start new goals as well as to stay on the right steps to gain achievement to these goals. I did like the author's writing on losing weight and how standing is better than sitting. I'd be interested in that chapter. The book is divided into chapters per goals with strategies and lessons on how to accomplish them. I've decided to put this book on my list after writing my reply because I changed my mind about reading this book. It is temporarily on sale at Amazon so I have put it on my shelf. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Thank you for a comprehensive and positive review. The book is so relevant. not only provides strategies but also prompts introspection and personal application. The target audience will learn a lot from it. But. Does this book make the author himself a great coach?

I loved that the author considered holistic medicine for improving and bettering oneself. I sit in a chair for most of the day, mainly due to my career, but I find that walking or simply standing can make a tremendous difference. Thanks for the review!

I normally shy away from self-help books but this one however draws my attention. It's like the author focuses more on the reader and his/her goal, than explaining his own life to the reader, a.k.a it's more focused on steps to be better and successful than just a rambling about his own life and successes. Thanks for a detailed and interesting review. Congrats on BOTD.

I'm a firm believer in having coaches and mentors; this book sounds like it has a lot of merit. I like the reflection questions concept the most.

Motivational book, never read them before and don't think that I ever will. May be it is just me, but I don't believe that any stranger can inspire person more than live role model they have real contact with.
