I am curious to learn about the Peace Corps Progran and the Accelerate Language program. I have always liked visiting other countries and I this memoir offers some good insights. Great review.

I thought the glossary was a great touch. Not usually something I would read but I'm glad I read the sample. It was interesting and actually held me captive at times. I'm curious about the man on the airplane. What was his tragic medical problem? Loved the pictures of the local area in Phoorita's village.

While it's too bad about the grammatical errors, the elements of romance and exploration into what is entailed in volunteering for the Peace Corp sounds interesting. Thanks for the detailed review.

This book contains very useful information. I didn't know about this volunteering program or the language program. I am curious to read about his experience as a volunteer.

Pearl Thomas wrote: 30 Sep 2021, 09:09 I am not aware of such a program. I think this book will be a good place to start and learn about it. Also, I'm really excited to know about the Natural language approach, which seems interesting and useful. Nice review.
I agree but we have to be honest here, there was some grammatical errors that made it hard to read and understand the actual story

I've heard of the peace corps program. Living out the experiences through a memoir would be a joy. I would love to read this book.

Thank you for such an informative review. I am curious how the author overcame all the challenges such as the language barrier, different society, and corruption. The author shares that his experience as a member of the Peace Corps is captivating. I have never heard of the Natural Language Approach program, and I look forward to learning more about it as I have always had difficulty trying to learn a new language.

This memoir seems to bring information about the Peace Corps Program with the author's experiences, but it also talks about love and how the author fell in love with a Thai girl. Thanks for the review.

This is my first time hearing about the Peace Corps Program. This seem like a very interesting and informative memoir. Moving to a new country where a different language is spoken can be very challenging. I must the author for sharing his story with us. Thanks for the detailed review also.

I generally love memoirs. This author shares a unique experience in his memoir, particularly on the technique to help adults learn new languages. I'd love to read about that. Thanks for the review.

A memoir about a personal experience in the Peace Corps sounds like not only a fascinating read but an educational one also. Great review!
