This book will be a great fit for parents or guardians and could be used to understand their wards better. I don't read nonfiction, so I'll pass on this book.

Nice to see a boo genuinely concerned about how parents can support white children rather than make them pure machines for success.

The book sounds really very informative and educatonal. It will be interesting for me to know more about different ways of improving a child's learning ability because as a teacher I see the neglected children every day. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Not really sure I like how this concept of raising children sounds in description. While I agree there is nothing wrong with helping your kids to reach potential, but making training out of it is simply wrong! My own had 2 higher degrees each, but I made sure they had time for the fun of being kids as well.

I've always believed that a child's performance is impacted by their parent's or guardian's behavior. This book offers research-based evidence that a child's intelligence can increase with the correct kind of encouragement in particular areas. This could serve as a good material for parents and teachers.

As a Parent, We need to understand the child's abilities and interests before we comment on our child's performance. Most importantly we should not compare the child's abilities with the other child's which may leads to child's demotivation.

It is wrong to give up on the intelligence of any child. This book addresses such a deep subject. Based on the studies, a successful child will contribute greatly to society as a man or woman.

"Maximise Your Child’s Performance" by Jennie segar. An interesting book that is a must read for parents to children. Parents need to take a closer look at their children and knowing that their children's ability, mental health and wellness are different from others. Most times parents compare their own child to others, giving a wrong impression to theirs. Parents are to know that children's knowledge differs, some are up and doing at their first stage, while some are knowledgeable as they grow. Every child is gifted and should be given love, care and compassion. Congrats on your #BOTD.

My brother had dyslexia and back in the 1940s and 1950s, the teachers did not know how to handle this. They told my mother that he could not be left in school because he couldn't read, and so she had to take him out of regular school and put him in a trade school. He learned to be a printer but had a hard time in life not being able to read.

“Maximise Your Child’s Performance” by Jennie Segar is a book about improving a child’s cognitive ability. Jennie focuses on the type of toys to buy for children, how to get them to take music lessons, elevate creativity and even participate in sports. Parents can use this book as a self-help guide for raising their children. Jennie backed up her recommendations with sufficient research from real-life case studies. This is a well written book that should be read by all parents. Very good review.
