Her memoir, *By Accident* by Joanne Greene, tells of at lease a couple of challenges that she faced and overcame for the most part. Since the story is not quite over yet -- there may be more of her story to come!
She had at least her husband helping her through her struggles and that seems to be worth its weight in gold. I look forward to reading this book.

I can't imagine the strong will Joanne had to overcome such a horrible accident and then survive the gruesome journey of recovering from cancer. They obviously weren't even the only terrible experiences she faced in her life with the deaths of both of her siblings.
