Stories like these can truly motivate others. I'm not a fan of memoirs. And the topic is quite sensitive for me. So I'll pass on this one. Thank you for your honest and thoughtful review.

In today's BOTD the author shares her experiences and interactions with various Personal Care Attendants while living in home healthcare as she learns to adapt and live with an unexpected neuromuscular disease. Readers interested in what really goes on "behind the scenes" will want to give Jeanne's memoir a try...the included stories will bring laughter, tears, and everything in between. Thanks so much for your review! :-)

'Official Review: Helpers Anonymous' by Jeanne Tiberio expands on the core ideas of the memoir for avid readers. It skilfully outlines the contents of the non-fiction book. The author shares her story of how she went from being a healthy individual to suffering from muscle dystrophy and her encounters with her care attendants. Readers would find the stories of the author's encounters with her various PCAs shocking and interesting. Also, as mentioned in the review, the book shows the negative sides of drug abuse. The story would motivate those who experience being bullied and will help people make the right decision by staying away from hard drugs. Learning that the stories were like listening to juicy gossip and that we would not want to stop listening to them was great!

The author’s topic in her book quite interesting. I’m looking forward to digging into this one to know more about Muscle Dystrophy (MD) and be enlightened. The stories about her Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) is a interesting as well.

Thank you for your insightful review on "Helpers Anonymous that was written by Jeanne Tiberio and narrated by Ashley Gatti. In this book, Jeanne shares her story of how she went from being a healthy individual to suffering from Muscle Dystrophy (MD) and her encounters with her Personal Care Attendants (PCAs). There is nothing worse than losing your independence than being bullied in this state of disability. Depending on Personal Care Attendants means putting your trust in them as they enter your home and life as in Jeanne Tiberio's case. She isn't the only one who experiences negative care from these attendants or the companies responsible for them but at least she stood up for herself. This sounds like a very interesting read and I have put it on my list as Amazon has it free on it's Kindle unlimited. I am interested in cases like this so look forward to reading this book. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

People who work as personal care attendants should be full of love. In the end, you can only fully selflessly help someone out of love. I am sure the author's journey was not an exceptionally rosey one seeing as people can be diferent.

This sounds interesting. I'm not one for reading juicy gossip, but the way the reviewer wrote it, it sounds intriguing. Maybe I'll try to read this book if there's a copy available. Thanks for the review.

"Helpers Anonymous" sounds like a powerful memoir, Jeanne! Your journey with MD and the challenges of PCa has been eye-opening. It’s inspiring how you persevered and advocated for yourself. While the story may not be perfect, the content itself sounds interesting. Overall, a strong recommendation for those interested in personal issues and the impact of disability.

In as much as I have not heard of the illness before, that is, Muscle Dystrophy (MD), I wish the author was fine afterward. Nice review!

Books like this that shed light on flaws in the healthcare system are needed. I have the e-book version, not the audio book so won't experience any of the narration issues you did. I'm going into this book with an open mind, but expect to be angered by some of the stories.

Tiberio's ability to find humor amidst difficult situations makes the book engaging and prevents it from becoming overly bleak. This balance adds a layer of resilience and strength to her story.
