I'm not well-read on all the issues surrounding South Africa but I do know that many laws in place are not protecting their citizens, due to remnants from apartheid. The author has done the necessary research and is giving readers a lesson about South Africa's culture that will make other countries see that their country is not worse off as they think.

As someone who hasn't heard of "Isazisi: The Book" by Bongani Yona before, this review makes it sound incredibly compelling. The exploration of South Africa's cultural disintegration and the detailed insights into the impact of various factors like politics, globalization, and sports are intriguing. It's impressive how the author addresses these complex issues with honesty and depth. The book seems not only informative but also emotionally powerful, especially considering the author's personal distress over the cultural loss. The fact that it has been updated to address previous criticisms and now comes highly recommended with a perfect rating makes it even more appealing. This sounds like a must-read for anyone interested in cultural studies and the ongoing effects of colonialism.

Till today, colonized countries can still feel the damaging effects of colonialism, and I understand the author's passion and anger regarding this subject, especially concerning the declining indigenous culture. The horrors of apartheid in South Africa is something that is world-known. This is a great, eye-opening book.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the book. I can understand the author being angry with all that they had to go through. As others have said, I didn't realize what was occurring in South Africa. After reading our review and finding out some of their life there, I have decided to add it to my list of books to read.

"Isazisi: The Book" by Bongani Yona. One must have heard and seen how, over time, cultural values are diminishing. This book will open our eyes to the vast amount of culture that South Africa has lost."They are the product of this self-nativization which,in the process, destroys the culture of the native people." The author shares a very sad truth about what is going on in South Africa. Congrats on BOTD!!

I truly understand the author's pain in seeing Africa gradually lose its culture, especially the part where footballers become naturalized citizens in other countries. Nice review!
