A book that makes its readers more Interested in enjoying nature sounds really unique. There are only few books that inspire people to experience what they have read about. Great review

This book was very engaging and well written from the start! Pardon the pun, but I was hooked from the beginning. It is definitely on my list to finish now that I've read the review. It promises to be a great one. Being a country girl my entire life, it will be fun to see how he lives in a foreign environment, such as the swamp. Of course, cities are foreign to me, but everyone writes about those!

I think it is interesting to see what life is like in the Texas swamp. The stories sound like unique experiences. I think the pictures are an enormous help for people who are unfamiliar with the author's life.

I have always been fascinated by people who choose to live in different environments to the normal and accepted one's of the modern world. This book with its stories by the author of his life in a swamp appeals to me because of this. I agree that the use of certain words in the narrative would put my off but it still sounds like a collection of adventures worth reading. Thanks for the descriptive review.

The life of Larry in the swampy environment might be challenging to overcome, but with hard work and diligence, I am hopeful he could overcome the fears. The hard times and successful moments of Larry should be inspiring and educative to many readers to help them also withstand their struggles in different geographical locations irrespective of Larry's swampy area.

A book about swamp culture in the U.S. sounds pretty interesting to me. Just this morning I was talking to my friend, who lives on Caddo Lake in Texas, about the swamps, swamp creatures, and swamp dwellers. It is an interesting culture that lives in these areas and I imagine the author has quite a few unique stories. Thanks for the great review.

Tales from the Riverside by Larry Landgraf melds short stories of life experienced over time in the serenity and danger of the swamp environs of Riverside: finding love and raising a family in times of massive flooding and hurricanes; rubbing shoulders with critters, killer bees, coral snakes, collecting rattler hat bands as trophies, garnering home grown produce, wildlife, and fish for meals. Larry turns from fishing, farming to giving birth to a series of books as an author. "Facing danger head-on and enjoying it."
Detailed review of adventure combined with humor that hooks the reader. :o Congrats on BOTD.

That is a very diplomatic review. I liked how the reviewer stated what they did not like about the book without being insulting or offensive. On the whole, though, it seems to be a well edited and interesting book, worthy of a read.
