The book Like Saving Summer in a Jar by Amy Mathis is a emotional review of her father’s life and legacy and seems like a inspiring memoir which i usually like to read. Jimmy comes from a average background with a somewhat harder life, however with his hardworking philosophy and keeping faith makes his life successful and exemplary.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Such an inspiring story! Stories like these just show that one does not need to be very wealthy to help others. Passion, dedication, and love win the day. Thank you for your review!

Not a fan of reading biographies or reading about memories and life lessons. I added to my not interested in reading shelf. Very inspiring indeed though.

I love reading about the lives of others, especially when important life lessons are embedded within the text. Today's BOTD sounds like an inspirational read that lets others know no matter who you are, where you're from, and how you're raised, you can live a life of success and happiness. I'm looking forward to reading it - I've downloaded my free copy. Thank you for your wonderful review! Keep up the great work!

I am not a fan of feel-good stories, however, this does sound like quite an inspirational read. Thanks for the really comprehensive review - it has given me inspiration and ideas for how I can write reviews.

A tribute to a father written by his daughter, Amis Mathis, is really an interesting book.

It shows that after this life, our deeds still speak on in the heart of those who knew us, especially our loved ones.

Thank you for the informative review.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Benji

Thank you for the thoughtful and well-written review concerning this memoir. While I do enjoy memoirs from time to time I don't think that this book will be a good fit for me. I do appreciate how the author pays so much attention to detail about relating to this man's life. I appreciate how she takes the time to give as much detail as possible and to have the story be more like a friendly conversation instead of having it very flat and to the point. I think that the pictures included in the book are a nice touch, too. I'm sure that those who choose to read this book will enjoy it.

A memoir of a man's humble beginning to greatness. If he's worth writing about, then it's worth reading.
If you are TOO BIG to DO SMALL things, then you are TOO SMALL to DO BIG things...

If you want to be remembered long after you are gone, WRITE books worth READING or DO things worth WRITING about...

This author writes a memoir about her father. It's inspirational and heartwarming. His faith and giving nature made him someone who will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him, and now, to readers who never got the chance.

I am not a memoirs person. But in 2015 I lost my Mom. She came from humble beginnings and left home early due to an abusive Mom. She spent much time growing up on the farm with no electricity or running water with her great grandmother to escape. While her story is different, it reminds me a lot of my mom. Also the part where at her funeral, there was nothing but good to be said about her and how she helped so many others. So I'm anxious to read this book.

People who enjoy reading memoirs and autobiographies of successful people would surely be interested in reading about how the Strawberry Home for Boys changes Jimmy's life for the better.

inspirational memoirs like this one are very much welcome to my library as i agree that we can learn a lot from other people's lives. and while the cited lessons aren't rocket science indeed, they are no less important. i would love to read this book. great review!
