i may not be the most religious person but i believe i have faith that i show in my own way. that said, i may not be so eager to read this book but i don't mind reading it at some point. good job on writing an honest review!

The greatest Christian commandment is to love God, and next to that is to love your neighbor. Everyone, not just Christians, can follow both.

This is so true. When Christians try to bully or shame or dictate (fear) people to Christ, it could work; but then are they really followers. Love is always the answer. I'm curious to find out Dele Babalola's interpretation and have downloaded a copy. I enjoyed reading your awesome review. Thanks!

Dele's synopses and analyses of the Bible may appeal to some, but not to me. As the review says, we all have our own beliefs - I was raised a Catholic Christian, and developed my faith by choice as an adult, until I lost faith. For this reason, I am not interested in reading this book. Kudos to the reviewer on their honesty with their faith, and congratulations to Dele for BOTD!

I do not like books that are interpreting the Bible and it sounds like this one has some major issues (from my perspective) so this one is definitely not for me!

I suppose the term "a true Christian" does sound rather contentious. However, I do admire the author's drive and motivation; it's not easy to maintain that for a prolonged period of time. Thanks for the great review, Miriam!

Thanks for the review! I was initially intrigued by the title. I teach Preschool at a church and have read several short, child-friendly versions of the Bible that were lacking. Based on your review, I'd say that the factual inaccuracies and inconsistencies alone are enough to disengage my interest. A book that claims to condense the most widely-read text in the world should be very careful of its contents. Perhaps having a better editor and a fact-checker to help with the immensity of the project will improve the book, as you suggest.

Hopefully, condensing the Bible into a more concise format will encourage more people to try and read it and familiarize themselves with the tenets of Christianity. One thing does disappoint me though: I would expect such a responsible job to be undertaken with more care and attention to accuracy. Not only the problems with proofreading, but more worryingly, the errors in the teaching would put me off this book. Outstanding review once again from you, Miriam. Many thanks.

Many sanctified Christians who have read the bible from Genesis straight to Revelation can confirm to the History before Jesus Christ, the good news of Jesus Christ and the second coming of Jesus Christ that everyone is
anticipating. We prayed and asked God for more wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the word, guidance of the holy spirit and to be equipped against all false doctrine.

"The Bible in a Nutshell" by Dele Babalola provides a little clarity on Creation, Life, The Rapture, End Times, Death and The Afterlife. Others are still in the stage of unbelief with the devil making a lot of confusion, while some believers are not really sanctified. We don't know when the preaching of the Gospel will be over neither the date of Christ second coming. Therefore, today we need to get right with God before time changes into eternity.
