Good leadership is kind of rare, and there are many unskilled leaders out there. I applaud any well-executed book about leadership and hope this one leads to success for new leaders and their followers. Thank you for the review.

I’m glad it leaves out a lot of the military and corporate jargon. The storytelling will also help laymen enjoy this book. It seems very inspirational and I think I will check it out.

It will be great reading on practical approaches to leadership from a top general in the U.S. Army. I especially like the teaching taking risks, dealing with others, empowering others, and leaving a legacy. Thanks for the insightful review.

I am in the US Army, so I am very intrigued due to the author's military background. Anyone in a position of leadership, whether or not they are in the military, can learn from a man with such a stellar career history.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

This book sounds like it would be a fascinating read for those who enjoy life stories and books that involve the military. I don't think that this book will be a good fit for me as I am not an avid reader of non-fiction or military novels so I will be passing on this book.

I enjoy reading good books about leadership. Reading about leadership from military man point of view must be exceptional. Definitely worth reading to everyone.

Sounds like a great book. Once 9/11 was mentioned I was not interested becaus I lived through 9/11 and don’t ever want to experience that nightmare again! Great review.!

This is not usually my type of read, but reading the first chapter and the review made me want to try it out. Examples of real life scenarios made the subjects I read less dry.

I'm normally not one for reading books about the military, however, I do find memoirs interesting. It's like being able to sit in front of a family member and listen to stories of their life which I've always loved. I'll have to read this sometime soon.

I am very impressed at the breadth of accomplishments that the author has done in his life. I also like that the author was in the military and was a commander of several different bases. I am always interested in the people who experienced 9/11 since I was only six at the time and I remember only bits of it. I am glad that the book was professionally edited and that there were not any grammatical errors.

This seems to be a good book on leadership. The topics dealt in it through the author's life stories seem promising. Looking forward to reading it. Congrats on BOTD!

I think this book sounds like a more interesting way to teach about leadership because of the use of personal stories. It is great to know that the author is a good storyteller and teacher.

I recently heard a lecture on how one can draw parallels between military discipline and leadership and corporate leadership. This book sounds similar in theme. I love reading such books. Thank you for the neat review.
