This book sounds rich in information but emotionally draining for those not passing through the author's predicament. I'm equally anti-spiritistic, so the aspects of communication with the dead and with a "spirit guide" would bother me. I will not be reading this book. Thanks for the clear review.

I am impressed by the author's strength to defeat the demons of suffering. To be sexually abused in childhood, to mourn your husband's death, or to face addiction - all of these have the power to destroy the soul and mind of a person; it creates a barrier that not many succeed to overcome. And yet, the author honestly opens up in front of the readers and shares her journey to forgiveness and unconditional love. I deeply appreciate this overcoming of the situation. Thank you for the wonderful review, but I think it will be too emotional for me right now.

This is a lot for a single person to go through. I'm happy she made it through.
Great review.

This seems like a great book for those who are interested in this subject and for those who have endured similar situations. But, it seems to be too intense for my liking and too lengthy for such an emotionally draining subject. So, I won't be reading this book.

In the 'Official Review: Journey to a Safe Harbor by Jeanette Orme' the points of the reviewer are worth mentioning! The theme of the book has been fully emphasized. Also, the rating given to the memoir is accurate!

A very good review. It brought home the essence of the writer's struggles and triumphs. A very detailed and instructive analysis of the book. This book should give hope to those who have shared similar circumstances.

In the end the author is healed from her pain and emotional trauma. Being open is one of the things that helped her through the process.

I applaud anyone who can open him/herself up to public scrutiny about a period of his/her life when he/she was most vulnerable. You're quite right in saying this is heavy reading and while I doubt this is a book for me, I'm sure the author's openness will aid someone's healing.

That's a good rating from the review. Maybe the author should see things in a bigger picture then maybe the way she put the story would be more appealing or interesting for anyone to read. But then this if her life story and maybe she prefers the story to be in this manner. 3/4 is good enough.

Sounds like this would be a good book for people who are struggling with traumatic experiences in their lives and have gone through them in the past. I’m not sure this one is for me but thanks for the great review!

It takes a lot of emotional, and physical energy to write about ones own struggles, and addictions. This is very inspirational.

I congratulate the author for being courageous enough to share this story of abuse and recovery. However, this is too emotional for me so I shall pass. Thank you for sharing an honest review.
