Reading this review makes me appreciate the importance of following into footsteps of those that have seen the wrath of life but later turn out victorious! Amazing review.

I'm not really a huge fan of memoirs / self-help books, but the 6C technique does sound interesting. Thanks for the great review!

Not only does your review have an attention-getting sentence, the whole first paragraph is amazing. Even though I don't think I need to read this book for any issues I might have, I might read it and find out that I do have room for improvement in my life.

Self-help books are not my cup of tea but the book seems pretty informative and really useful with those 6 Cs. Besides the Appendix Section will be really helpful to the readers (I especially liked the section with the questions). Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

As I said in my first attempt at commenting on your review, you have walked us through the book, showing how it is organised and the purpose of each section, you have given strong arguments as to why this is a four star book and have explained why the appendixes are so valuable. A great review, thank you!

The 6 Cs that the author uses when making weighted decisions are a great take home. Care, Compassion, Control, Concern, Consideration, and Communication are values we should all adopt. This is one book I wish to read before the year ends. Thank you for a clear review.

I like the way you describe this book. It sounds like I might like reading it because it doesn't seem to focus on religion as many recovery books do. I'm amazed that I never became an addict myself because I have very low self-esteem and most of the relationships that I have been in were abusive. I appreciate your review. It was very thorough. :tiphat:

Several people can relate to the issues discussed in this book, so it represents a good self help book. I am curious about the 6Cs and how to apply it when trying to make decisions.

Kudos to the author for telling her life-story in an effort to save readers from the same problems. It is never easy to air out your dirty laundry but for the greater good let it be aired. Glory to God for a book that ultimately looks to him the author and finisher of our faith.

It's interesting to try out the system called the 6 Cs that author uses when making weighted decisions. I look forward to understanding it better after I have read the book. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD.

I love memoirs, they are worth keeping. I like the attitude of Dee C. — strong personality and not losing respect, (which is very important) to her father despite being maltreated. We aspire to good memories, though bad things will always be, in any circumstances, happens. We can't control it, nor we can't predict it, but we can be good at it — a challenge. The 6Cs mentioned by the author can be very helpful when in times like this.
Reading is a journey to the world.
