The challenges Moon had to face in his childhood are things I wouldn't want to wish on anyone. I'm glad he is doing better today. Thank you for the review!

A book detailing the perseverance and hardship of a strong man. He is a motivator to others. I like the father/son bond. Thanks for an informative review.

Wow, Moon went through quite the challenge in life. Loosing his family all at once couldn't be easy. It's an interesting book. Great review.

The Bulletproof Missionary sounds like an awesome read to truly inspire readers to keep going through life's hardships and to enjoy the moments when their world seems perfect. I'm sure through are numerous victories and battles that the main character battles and overcomes as he is even influenced to change his religion to follow the footsteps of an inspiring man for him.

What a fantastic read! I am looking forward to reading this book myself soon.

After reading the review, I'm curious to learn about Moon's life and the many hardships he had to survive. He seems like an inspirational and resilient man. Chaplain Vajda must have been an amazing person. He made such a huge impression on Moon that he was willing to adopt his faith to be just like him. That's inspiring. Thanks for the informative review!

This story is so touching and inspiring. Am glad to learn that despite Moon's harsh realities faced, he continues to serve multitudes. What a great lesson for all to learn.

This sounds like a book for those who are religious. The memoir does have a bit of violence but sounds inspirational as well. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

The bulletproof missionary is the third book in the series of The Missionaries to America Book. In this third instalment, author Keriz Rosado narrates Shang Ik Moon’s journey from North Korea to America.

Moon’s mother passed on while he was still young, and his father worked in South Korea. As a result, his grandmother raised him in North Korea. He had a beautiful and wholesome childhood until his grandmother passed on. Because of the second world war that was underway, Moon’s father had to smuggle him from North Korea to South Korea. A couple of years later, life in South Korea changed as the Korean war broke out. The war left Moon destitute and without a family.

Years later, Moon met Chaplain Vajda, who introduced him to Christianity and changed his life around. The grace-filled encounter with Chaplain Vajda is the reason that Moon is today a well-respected and honoured missionary.

A heartwarming true life story that shows how Christian faith changed Moon's life and turned him into a well respected missionary. An excellent official review.

I'm glad you liked the book so much. While Moon's life and journeys seem to be exhilarating and inspiring, a story based on missionaries and religious themes would not interest me. Hence, I'll pass this one.
