Re: Review of Stubborn children

My daughter isn't old enough for me to need this book, but I'm happy to have it in my library for when I may need to look up ways to deal with any stubborn behavior.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

The book review is well written. It gives you clear information about the book. It relates to readers how to deal with stubborn children. Its my first time hearing about relaxed pressure as a method to address an inappropriate behaviour. However the review made it very clear as to what it is and how it can be administered. The review peeked my interest as an educator of children with special needs. I am already thinking about the method of relaxed pressure in my practice and recommending the book to other colleagues. well done!

i did some googling about the author; unfortunately I haven't found his biography. I would like to know his expertise on the subject matter though. However, I was able to find some of his other works, and they were mostly about psychology, behavior, specially of kids. Well he could be a doctor or a researcher interested in the subject. Anyways, I hope research is cited in the book.

This book seems to provide some pieces of advice on dealing with stubborn children through the method of relaxed pleasure. I don't know if it is for me, but congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

Stubborn Children by Norio Ando seems to be a good informative read. Stubbornness is a real problem and parents often tend to be in a dilemma for how to deal with their stubborn children. I want to know more about the relaxed pleasure technique. Thank you for the free copy. Congrats on BOTD!

I am not so sure that this would be a good book for me, as I have read other books by this author and was not that impressed by the content. However, I do hope that it will help parents who need assistance with promoting positive behavior. Thanks for the review! :)

I had never heard the term "relaxed pleasure" when dealing with a stubborn or willful child. Even though my daughters are grown, and I did raise a willful child, I still found the technique interesting. I enjoyed your review.

This book seems like a great help for parents controlling their children's behavior. I believe it will also help to understand the psychology behind children's stubbornness.

The review makes the book appear to be worth reading. As the reviewer mentions, the simple writing style would make it easier for parents to understand the issues their child is dealing with in terms of temperament and how relaxed pressure gradually helps them. I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

I’m looking forward to this book. I think it will be a great reference for myself. No matter how old our kids are, I think readers can always take away at least one thing with them and gain some new knowledge and different approaches to things . Thanks for the great review

This book is helpful to those who have children with stubborn characteristics. Often times, children need guidance from their parents and this book can provide another way of doing it through relaxed pleasure. The book goes into in-deoth detail on how it works. Congrats on BOTD!

The reasons children develop stubbornness and the methods to make them flexible sound quite reasonable.

I can assure you that a lot of parents will find this book very useful. Raising a child, especially in this generation can be a real burden, especially when it's a first child too. I am not a parent yet, but I can judge considering how I behaved as a kid that raising a child is a tough business. The author deserves merit for trying to tackle this issue and sharing her opinions with others. Congratulations on the BOTD and on a job well done.
