The book looks into the complexities of growing up in a dysfunctional blended family and gives a creative spin on presenting the memoir. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

I have no doubts that this book would appeal the most to mothers and people who really love their maternal parents. I think it is really depressing for the author to have that kind of childhood. Congratulations to her for BOTD!

The book comes free as today's BOTD, so I may dare read it. I don't like reading sad stories these days, though. This one may awaken some unpleasant childhood memories. Where's that box of tissues?

To write a memoir about one's life takes great courage, especially when it includes dark personal secrets and trauma. Being sexually abused and ill-treated as a child will affect a person's mental state in adulthood. Writing is therapeutic. To the author, thanks for sharing. Thanks for your review.

Between the non-linear storytelling style and the age-appropriate language, it sounds like this memoir is just unique enough to stand out amongst the crowded genre.

I commend the author for having enough courage to talk about their life experiences. The non linear flow of this book could make it harder to read for some readers.

Nice review. I'm not into family drama, especially when it comes from a real-life story. The author has a lot of courage and strength to share about the sexual abuse she had experienced. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of females going through the same life and getting trapped in trauma. I really appreciate this memoir

It is a very touching story, the type that attracts my sympathy. Our protagonist is a determined fellow, one who's not easily defeated. Great plot, great story and great presentation. The review is excellently simple.

It takes too much courage to share heavy life experiences, I applaud the author for that. I want to read this book if time will allow me. Thank you for the review.

I would thank you for your excellent review. A story with the non-linear time flow usually is hard to be understood for the reader. But I will appreciate the author for her voice through her story, her memoir. Her pain because of her sexual abuse story from her stepfather when she was under age. I think this story is very interesting and encouraging.

I think talking about one's traumas is very hard, so I appreciate the author's effort in writing this book. Thank you for the review.
