Biographies tell a lot about a person's good, bad and ugly. The ability of the author James to put his life into writing a book is amazing. Not to mention the fact that he stated some particular areas like racial discrimination that need a better approach. This is a book readers would enjoy. Thanks for the review!

I enjoy biographies and autobiographies. I "collect" other people's stories, through old photos that I find at yard sales, estate sales, secondhand stores, and the like. I think it's interesting to have even a little insight into their lives. This sounds like an interesting life story of one man who is willing to open up and share his experiences and insights. Thank you for a great review!

James writes about his life, from being a schoolboy to a youth. He goes in-depth to capture every bit of his life in this book. Things many authors would exclude because of how embarrassing they might come off, James included without a flinch. James also talks about racial discrimination in a subtle manner. I enjoyed this memoir. Congratulations on BOTD

I am interested in people’s memoirs but only of there is really something significant that they are writing about. Unfortunately, I don’t see too much in this book to draw me in and am really not interested in books about social issues either. I might give this one a miss, but thanks for the concise review.

'Official Review: The Reject Bench' by James H. Morgan is informative and enriching! The important points related to the book have been well explored in the review. The point that the author wrote about his life as a young man, from a young high school boy, to his love for playing music is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the book incorporated humor in its narration, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book is a biography with some bit of history!

I love that cover. I am glad those big cars are gone, though. I'd never manage to park that! Seriously, I'm tired of reading about racism. That doesn't mean it isn't real. As an Asian, I've had my share of sad experiences in that arena. Differences should be celebrated, not frowned upon.

I am going to pass on this. However, kudos to the author for discussing race in these times. It can be such a touchy subject, but it must be addressed to those that only see color.

I have to say because of this review I downloaded this book immediately to my Kindle, and I am looking forward to reading it. This review was well written and honest and made me want to read this book, unfortunately the trials that James went through is what many people are still going through today, Sadly our children today are only learning hate against other people with different skin colors, different religious beliefs and different life styles. It's's very disturbing how many people hate each other just because they are different. James was lucky to be brought up by a mother who did not discriminate against other people. I appreciate and thank you once again for a very well written review.
