Thank you for your great review. I also liked the book from reading the sample. It is so sad that people in power think they have the right to do whatever they want to anyone else. She had so much to go through. I'm glad she is helping others so they can speak up or hopefully, not go through what she did. I have added this to my list of books to read.

It's always frustrating to see all your efforts result to nothingness. I really feel the pain of the main character. I hope things turn around for her.

Katherine's determination to keep on moving forward despite all her challenges is something I admire. As a result, she can now help people in similar situations better.

"Rescue Me" by Katherine Starr is a biography revealing the life of athlete Annabelle Cripps, born into privilege and groomed for success in swimming, yet her Olympic dreams were shattered due to sexual abuse by a coach, leading to a downward spiral of excessive drinking as she struggled to confront her inner torment in a toxic environment.

'Official Review: Rescue Me' by Katherine Starr serves as an in-depth analysis of the memoir for avid readers. It discusses the main idea of the non-fiction book. The point that this biography tells the life of the athlete Annabelle Cripps is worth mentioning in the review. Readers will find the life message and recovery process discussed in the book uplifting. Also, as mentioned in the review, the story of overcoming adversity was the most fascinating and remarkable aspect of this book. I liked the ending of the review!

Abuse of any kind can deter the inner working of person so much that the lose sight or passion for a craft. Bold of the author to come out and tell her story which could be of help to other professionals in similar situations. Trusted people who abuse their privileged position to sexually abuse youngsters should be made to face the severity of the law.

''Being able to create something so that others don't have to suffer what you suffer", I think that's the most beautiful and courageous thing ever. I give big kudos to Katherine for that, its not humanly easy but she did it.

The book sounds very intriguing. It is a shame that people in power, men and women, abuse their power and prey on innocent children who are only trying to accomplish something.

I loved that even though the author had her moments of weakness and took to drinking, she was able to pull herself together and overcome her traumas.

The author's courage and ability to come out strong despite what she went through is commendable. This book will be perfect for readers who long to feel inspired despite the adversities they may face. However, I don't read nonfiction, so I'll skip this book.

"Rescue Me" by Katherine Starr delves into the life of athlete Annabelle Cripps, highlighting her journey from promising talent to survivor of sexual abuse. Despite setbacks, she founds Safe4Athletes to support abuse survivors. The book's emphasis on resilience resonates, though delayed psychological analysis and minor editing issues detract slightly. Overall, it's a compelling and uplifting read, earning 4 out of 4 stars. Recommended for athletes and trauma survivors alike. This is a very informative and honest review. Thank you.

Katherine Starr's "Rescue Me" has done much to expose a hidden truth about sports and the dark side of the elite. Starr's unflinching account of her time as a swimmer at the Olympics described the ruthless pressure, mental manipulation, and a system that mostly disregards the welfare of the athletes rather than the medals.
