As a Missourian with a life-long interest in political science, I look forward to reading this memoir. It's exciting that I recognized all three former politicians who praised this memoir. If fact, my mom and Rich Gephardt went to the same high school. Great review!

I agree with Jack that being in the political space and working in public offices has a way of giving one a wide range of experience. Interesting review!

While I've never read books in this genre, this excellent review brings to light elements of Schram's memoir that are interesting, such as his motorcycle journey and the connections he made along the way. Schram has obviously led a very interesting life and is extremely accomplished. I'm sure it is a fascinating read, especially for those interested in politics and world affairs.

It is helpful to know that the reviewer finds the memoir a compelling one. Indeed, how else should a memoir worth writing - and reading! - be less than that?

Interesting review. "Passionate Purpose: A Global Governance Journey" by Jack J. Schramm is an autobiography of author himself detailing his career in public service. He even detailed his trips to various countries undertaken as consultant. Overall, his passion and charmistic nature shone throughout the book.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review of "Passionate Purpose: A Global Governance Journey" by Jack J. Schramm. Your description of Schramm's journey from the Missouri House of Representatives to the United States Environmental Protection Agency and then to the international consulting firm is captivating. It's intriguing to learn about his transitions and the impact he made in various roles.

Schramm's ability to convey complex political processes in an understandable manner is commendable, and his passion for his work shines through in your review. The anecdotes about his travels, especially the motorcycle trip through the Middle East, add a personal touch to his story.

Your review has piqued my interest, and I look forward to reading the book to learn more about Schramm's career and the insights he shares about American politics, environmental issues, and international law. Thank you for recommending it!

You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.

This autobiography of a public servant is interesting. His journey through the continents will provide a fresh perspective. However, personally, I find this book without much benefits. I think one of my cousins and the author went to the same high school.

Schramm's career sounds like a fulfilling one. Not everyone gets to become what they dreamed of, only those who push harder to do so, do. I'm sure Schramm shared the steps he took to make his career path a fulfilling one, which is a part that interests me. Congratulations on BOTD!!
