I am very interested in the book since reading the threads on here and the original posts. I have some knowledge in the are as I have certification in domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention. Also, I am a CJ major so I am very intrigued...

I hate it when people judge a book busy it's cover sometimes the simplest of covers have amazing Stories inside.

Thanks again Scott.
I tried to leave my review on Amazon, but it seems the book is no longer available.

I never judge a book by its cover. That said, where may I get a copy of your book so I may read it and post an honest, objective Review.

Free speech is complicated, it's rarely black and white, and rarely has a single component. There is always the possibility of harm and offense that free speech can cause. But it should always be protected. I don't agree with Amazon's suppression of the book.
According to John Stuart Mill, free speech fosters authenticity, genius, creativity, individuality and human flourishing. He tells us that if we ban speech the silenced opinion may be true, or contain a portion of the truth, and that unchallenged opinions become mere prejudices and dead dogmas that are inherited rather than adopted.

One thing which struck me about all of the social media attention this got is how vilified Turner was - rightfully so, the man is a rapist. But this vilification and 'othering' (i.e. some people are just rapists) leaves no room for people (especially men) to question their OWN part in rape culture. I personally know way too many men who have gotten away with this kind of behaviour, and so many women who have been victims of rape while intoxicated but never pursued justice because they blamed themselves and did not fit the 'alleyway rape' narrative. So you can imagine how incensed I was when I saw the 'outrage' of men whom I know carry the same entitlement as Brock Turner... This terrible incident opened a lot of dialogue regarding victim blaming, but there is still a whole lot more discussion regarding a culture of male entitlement that needs to be had.
That said, I do agree with DarthMandy that reading this book may not be a good idea for some rape survivors. I made the mistake of reading it at work, and spent half an hour afterwards sobbing in the bathroom.
