Rather than just closing deals, try to discover ways in which you can provide value to customers with the help of the book, Karmic Selling, by Stan Gwizdak. It could mean offering advice or industry knowledge, or it may serve as a simple listener. Congrats on #BOTD!

“Karmic Selling” by Stan Gwizdak follows Stan’s transformation from a common corporate career to one based on authenticity and kindness. After majoring in Marketing and completing my MBA I had a 40-year career in sales and marketing, so this book is of great interest to me. Stan’s transformation did not occur until after a near-death experience in 2004. Karmic Selling is influenced by Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism and focuses on the positive return from good deeds. My sales experience did focus on building trust and helping others, so the concept is not totally new. Without this focus it would be hard to retain customers at the renewal of their insurance policies. Stan used real-life case studies to prove his points. A very good book that should be read my business students and people already in a sales or marketing career.

This sounds like such an interesting as well as aspirational read. I like how he uses the case studies to prove his point. Would really love to read this. Congrats on BOTD.

There is a family owned hardware store not far from where I live. As soon as you walk in someone will ask you what you are looking for,and they will bring you right to the item. Before leaving, they will ask you if they can help you with anything else. This is done with a smile. Everyone who works in this store seems happy to be there. As a customer, I feel happy to be there. I think this is the kind of behavior that Karmic Selling promotes. Good for the author. There is a big need for this way of doing business.

After reading a sample of "Karmic Selling" by Stan Gwizdak, it is clear that the book is focused on the importance of building trust in business relationships. The author emphasizes the concept of "karma" in sales, suggesting that successful salespeople should approach their work with a focus on helping others rather than simply making a sale.

When discussing business, marketing often takes the spotlight. However, it's freshing that the author explores a different angle, focusing on karma, authenticity, and kindness in business. I believe this book will offer valuable insights for business owners.
