As a South African I for now would rather not give any feedback on this book, as I first want to read it. I can't say how I really feel about what's happening in our country till I see what the author wrote, as I don't want to disrespect or disregard his point of view. I can however say the, our generation are definitely paying for the sins of our forefathers and what they did in the 70's and 80's. My wish for our country however is, that we put the past to rest and see past this colour and race thing that devide us. Thanks for your review. Congrats on BOTD

As a South African, I am very interested in the topics covered in this book. Many people are blind to the plight of others in the country and just focus on the impact on their own lives. Apartheid was a cruel and unfair system that ended 30 years ago. How can the country overcome its challenges and move forward? I was shocked to see sportsmen would be sent back to SA if they lose a game, everyone has off days! Thank you for the review and also helping the author to improve their product!

Isazisi: The Book by Bongani Yona masterfully highlights the often-overlooked issues of land ownership, politics, and globalization in South Africa. Yona's ability to connect these complex topics with the country's cultural loss is truly remarkable. Congratulations on the Book of Today Award.

Bongani has clearly articulated the issues that would engulf one of the most recent African countries to get independence from colonialism. I can't wait to read how S. Africa still faces the impacts of colonialism even after independence.

I agree with the reviewer that the author of Isazisi:The Book by Bongani Yona is a sad author trying to put the call out that society today is destroying the culture of many diverse and rich places. Institutions such as religion, sport, countries that colonize and economies that keep people in poverty unless the bow to current culture are destroying what makes humans interesting. It is a global problem and another item that humans must solve so that we all can thrive.

"Isazisi: The Book" by Bongani Yona offers an eye-opening examination of South Africa's cultural disintegration, inspired by the Isazisi feature film script. Yona highlights the lingering impact of the Apartheid regime and the more insidious, ongoing decline in the conditions of indigenous people. He discusses land ownership, migrations, politics, and globalization, and how sports and religion have transformed the culture. Notably, he reveals the exploitation of African sports players by developed nations, emphasizing the cultural loss they endure.

This book explains how critical it is to be aware of this cultural drift and to take measures to nip the cultural disintegration in the bud. Yona insights the reader about the cultural values which were lost due to colonization.

I have heard so much that had happened in South Africa in the past both in books, documentaries and in movies. Does it mean they still battle few of these cultural and religious disintegration up till now? I guess a good read would help find out. Thanks. Well-done.

This book talks about how we are losing our culture as a whole, but it is catered specifically to the African cultural values which is sadly the product of self-nativization. Sounds like a very interesting read, and it was so sad reading in your review that the locals don’t even realize that their culture is slowly dying. Thanks for the review!

Cultural disintegration is a deadly act that causes division among the victims and develops a lack of vision, dependency, and disdain for the already disintegrated culture. it should be viewed as a crime to society, especially when done through force. Humans should be left to live their lives according to their choice of culture.
