Awesome review! I love playing chess, but I've never been serious enough to learn about its history or strategy. This might be a good one for me to start. Who doesn't like winning?

Chess as a game was invented in India, as Chaturanga, and as an Indian, I am embarrassingly bad at the game. Hopefully, this book helps. Congratulations on the BOTH, and best wishes for future projects.

What an insightful review. The game requires both tactics and strategies to increase the chances of winning. I like how you have differentiated the two.
Thanks for the engaging review!

The historical insights provided in the book added an unexpected and enriching dimension to my chess knowledge, making it more than just a guide on tactics and strategies.

This review has piqued my interest in "Chess Strategies for Beginners" by Eric H. Schuelke. The book seems to offer a comprehensive and engaging introduction to chess, blending historical context with practical strategies. I appreciate how the author uses simple language, graphical images, and real-life examples from chess masters to explain complex concepts. The emphasis on both tactics and long-term strategies, as well as the importance of practice, makes it sound like a valuable resource for players at any level. Overall, the review suggests that this book is a well-researched, insightful guide that could significantly improve anyone's chess skills.

I loved how the book didn't just tell you what moves to make, but explained the underlying principles behind each strategy, making it easier to apply them in real games.

I've tried my hand at chess many times but just can't get myself to be interested in the game, so I honestly don't understand people's fascination with it. However, it's great that this book contains images and tactics for both beginners and professionals.
