This book is a good resource for high school students preparing to enter college. I like that the book has useful websites listed to explore more on the topics. I agree with you that every high school counselor's office and college career centers should have this book available. Parents should know about this book as well, so they can better inform their children of all the options and choices available for preparing and entering college. I like that the book includes career choices and saving plans for retirement.

Had I seen this college guide earlier in the day, I would have told all of my students to download it. Either way, I plan to post it on our classroom book recommendations board. Thank you so much! :-)
I think that is wonderful to tell your high school students about this book! I sure wish I had the book back when I needed it.

From a sampling, this book had many interesting points to take and pass on to those that are going into college or are in college. While the vast majority of points are focused on college related activities and studies; there were quite a few helpful tips that are applicable for the work place. Well done.

What a concise and handy little book! I can only wish I had read something like this prior to getting myself into tons of student loan debt. That said, I can see its value in learning to become debt free as an adult, plan well for retirement, and further, to help guide young ones to make good choices ahead of time. Nice review!

Thank you for your concise and informative review. I think my nieces and nephews who are going to be in college, are in college and just graduated from college could benefit greatly from the information contained in this book.
I look forward to reading it further and will be suggesting it for others to read.

I really wish this book had been available when I was entering high school. I am a bit cautious though since you mentioned several resources are webpages - I swear a good chunk of undergrad was trying to go back to the main webpage and then finding the specific link for a resource, even if the professors did add the URLs to the syllabus less than a week before classes began.

I being a Ghanaian found some of the SAT and ACT modules alien to our educational system.
Nonetheless, there are a some general concepts in this book that can be applied in all aspects of life.
You can generally stay out of credit for life. As well as planning an appropriate retirement plan for yourself.
I rate it 3 stars of 5.

This sounds like a well-organized book that would have been helpful when I was younger. I agree that it should be available in high schools. Most college students don't understand the amount of debt they'll face upon graduation and/or what to do about it. I like that this book is pocket-sized and so organized.

What a timely book for a new school year. While the topic isn't really relevant to my life right now, I think this one would be a helpful resource for students either heading into college or planning for it. It's good to be prepared! Awesome review with a great rundown of the contents!

A great self- help book for young readers who are at the threshold of their life and they have to take the decision about their higher education, but due to financial obstacles unable to move forward.

Renee J. Bey has solved the problem of the teenagers, who want to study further and don't know where to tap for financial help.
There is information in this book right from pursuing higher education till retirement. Congrats!

Thank you for this informative review. I feel like I skimmed the book in two minutes. You pointed out some particular benefits we can gain through reading this book. Now I'm considering buying the book for my college son and my daughter who is unsure whether to study beyond her Associate's Degree.
