It's good that the author details leadership through his personal life experiences of being in the leadership positions in the military. Readers who are into inspirational biographies will like the book. Plus, it can be a useful guide to someone who has a leadership role in the same industry. Thank you for the detailed review.

This sounds like it would be an excellent read for those looking to work their way into leadership roles. As I'm not currently in that position, it doesn't seem that this book would be a great fit for me. Thanks for the recommendation, though!

A personal story goes a long way to reinforce the author's strategies. I enjoyed the way you highlighted the different leadership positions he has held. Many readers echo your reaction to the abundance of names in the manuscript! Four stars for the general! Thanks.

At first glance, this book would not be one that I'd want to read. However, you definitely had me at the 'U.S Army and Marine Corps' part. That has always been something that has interested me. Will definitely try it.

True to the hilt, this genre can be marred by a lot of technical jargon and little of great stories. Hence, a book that mixes the two is one to be savoured. Thanks for this review.

I normally don't read this type of book because of a lot of the ways the people reach their success is by who they know. I have a hard time applying the methodology that is taught so I am passing on this #BOTD after reading how the influence of people in the book even caused your "eyes to glaze over."

I think one of the best ways to guide people to greater depths through literature is to do it without overwhelming them with jargon. I find that an interesting assessment of this book.

The Author being a military Man...and yet managing to write such a book is very interesting. Not only does he talk on leadership but also his experiences which is one thing that I admire about him. Great job

This is a teaching book on leadership written by a Major General who spent most of his career training soldiers. I am especially interested in his personal experiences during the attack of 9/11. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your interesting and honest review.
