I usually love spiritually-based books, both fiction and non, but something about this one just isn't quite doing it for me. Let's call it a "Maybe" for now.

I don't have what to say about Spirit guides with being a Christian. Apparently this read is not for me. Nice review though.

I totally agree that one needs an open mind to read and appreciate this kind of book. I like the fact that the author did not come across as preachy. I will consider reading this one. Thanks for y our review.

This book can be of great use to people in certain circumstances, but thanks goodness, currently I am not in search if God or some spiritual guide th help me heal myself. Because this is what I think about the book after reading review - your ordinary self-help.

Thanks for the review. I am so glad to learn that the book covers a sensitive topic, call it spirituality. This is the kind of a book we need for our spiritual growth. It's a book of inspiration. Would be happy to learn about the modern disciples of Jesus.

I was actually somewhat disappointed by the sample. When I read the blurb and how it was phrased, my reaction was: "Finally, a book about spirituality that doesn't focus just on the Christian God." Unfortunately, when I read the sample, I found that not to be the case. The writer does, indeed, have a gentle and calming way of speaking/writing, and I fully understand her wish to include the God she believes in. But that's not how the book was presented to us. I'm sure many people will find solace and inspiration in this book, but, sadly, I will be skipping this one.

I appreciate that a book like this deals with PTSD. Being open minded about spirituality is intriguing. I will love to read a book like this. Nice review.

As far as metaphysics and spirituality is concerned, I may refer this book to someone i know. But given reviewer's suggestion I myself would rather let it pass, as its not really my thing, not any more.

I will recommend this book for everyone passing through physical trauma or emotional trauma and anyone that has gone through any form of abuse. The author has same experience and she was healed. The title sounds like the churchy, but the book has a lot of inspiration. I will love to get this book. Congrats on BOTD.

I am in love with this book because i was about to be a victim of PTSD during my childhood, i was raised by my grandmom in the village never had a change to stay with my parents because the time i was born my mom was a student so after gave birth to me she left me at the village with my grandmom and went back to school, i never knew anything and i used to call my grandmom mom until i reached the age of 5 and i was heartbroken when she told me that she was not my mom. My mom was the one i used to call sister, the most painful part of my life was that i never knew my Dad because he abandoned me before i was born so from that time my life had been a mystery i never had peace of mind thinking that i was born by mistake.
Everything for me was hard, even at school i usually came up with bad results because i was not concentrating.
My life got back to normal when i became 20yrs old after graduating from a certain college, that was the time i devoted my life to Christ and realised that am not forsaken Jesus Christ only the Son of God is with me. I really like this book it has reminded me my past though i dont really want to recall my hard times.

The experience of being a Christian is often one of choice for anyone. I love reading a religious book and from the review, this is one I am anxiously want to read. If one wants to be a disciple of Jesus we should be of service to God and fellowmen this theme should capture the real meaning of discipleship. congrats for an excellent review and to the author on BOTD.
