This book replies to the need of the hour of saving flora and fauna and it makes me very happy to see a person doing such great things. I hope this book will make the readers connect more to the things that keep us alive. Great review!

I have been to a few wildlife conservation sites. They always seem to fascinate me. I did not know plant life was such a factor. I will definitely check this out. Great review

It's a perfect 4-star for me! It's been a while I read about bush and its lovers. Congrats on BOTD!

Wildlife conservation is really important to me, so I’m very awed by this man’s contributions and am interested in his story.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I’m really not into biographies, however I read the first chapter and I appreciate any sort of job to save wild nature. I think he’s gave a great help to his country.

This sounds like an interesting read. I don't know much about Australian wildlife and even less about conservation efforts in general, not even in Australia. They do have far more interesting animals over there though. Now if you had mentioned a platypus, I would've definitely been sold on reading it. Was there a platypus involved? Ha ha.

I'm not a wildlife person or an outdoorsman, so I want to view widelife through John and Proo lense. This very detailed review has got me intrigued to explore this story. Thanks for the review!

This is quite a unique and interesting book. I'm neither into animals nor wildlife, but I guess it won't hurt to check this out.
Thank you for this insightful review.

All the stories and random information on plants and wildlife sounds fun! The journey to save it all sounds equal parts potentially interesting and potentially frustrating.
Nice review!

I really enjoy the sample and also the title. Yes, vanishing animals, place and time couldn't be get back when it's all gone. Writing about his memoir with photos are amazing ideas. I learned about the animals in NSW and the whole Australia. Thanks BOTD. It's nice to read your review too.

This is really fascinating. I am glad by teaching us the importance of having the right motivation for every pursuit, the authors show that the quest can be successful. I have added the book to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

What a fascinating story, close to my own heart, as I have Australian links & a passion for conservation & the preservation of wildlife. Thanks so much for a detailed & insightful review, in support of the authors & the environment.

Thank you for the review you did on this book. Even though I do not see myself reading this book. It will be great for those who enjoy reading about wildlife conservation. Also, getting a biographical aspect of the book gives you some information on the author as well.
