A story about the life of a missionary will appeal to Christians. I'd love to read it. Congrats on being BOTD.

Moon sounds like he had some tough times. There is usually a lot to learn from people that had a trying life. I normally don’t read religious stories but I may make an exception for this one.

In the case of Moon, there is always this person that we meet in life that turns our life around. I think I like this book.

That is one intriguing title. I am curious to see Moon dodging those bullets. The fact that he chose to become a Christian because of the witness of his mentor, Chaplain Vajda, exemplifies the adage "actions speak louder than words." May other Christians, myself included, speak positively with their deeds as well.

Reading how Moon's life evolved from a bullet ducker to a missionary, I have this feeling that this would be another series that would impact me. Good execution by the author.

Wow! What an inspiring story of Shang Ik Moon. His father, Chun-Soo, was his best friend and his comfort. It is so delightful that there are people like Shang Ik, who keep us inspired despite the odds that he, at a very young age experienced.

One such displaced child was Shan Ik Moon, who lost his home and most of his family due to the war’s ravages, and had to walk miles in an effort to find safety, food, and shelter. After many trials he ended up scavenging for food with other homeless children in a garbage dump outside an American base. A chance encounter with a chaplain sent him on a journey to the United States, where he ended up with a Ph.D., a distinguished career as one of the founders of a well-known college, and as a Christian whose powerful witness of God’s continuing care in the midst of trials brought comfort and hope to many in the U.S

Seems like great personalities do have deep-wrenching life-stories to tell. Adversity does bring out the best in persons and indeed Moon has won my admiration even more now that I understand how He truly is a great man.

Life dealt Moon a hard blow, but he is now serving multitudes after encountering Chaplain Vajda. The book must be filled with incredible lessons. As a result, I have added it to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

I feel sorry for Moon. It hurts me when I see or hear people going through hardship in their life experience. I'm sure Moon's story will fortify and encourage many readers who will pick the book. I wish I would have the courage to read the story, but I'm afraid I'll skip the book for fear I might be too emotional reading through the pages of the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.
