The heart-wrenching account of Chad's battle with leukemia and the turmoil his parents endured reflects not just a medical struggle but a legal and emotional one as well.

The non-fiction "Chad's Triumph" by Diana J. Meyer is an incredible example of courage and strength. When there is a child diagnosed with cancer what do you do? Where do you turn? What are the correct decisions? Really important questions must be answered about family, disease and illness, moral courage, the law, strength and love. This story tells of one families struggles and as the title indicates their triumph as well. Thank you for the great and very descriptive review.

it's not easy for any parents to see their kids suffering from such incurable diseases. In this book author has tried to explain the emotions of parents when they go through this painful episode. Life throws many challenges, and we have no choice but to face it. Author's attempt to explain the inevitable with minute details is admirable and noteworthy

I was a caretaker for a family member last year so I can feel the grief in this book. You've written a very thorough review and this book seems like a very sad but good read. But I can see how not having page numbers are confusing for re-read.

Getting cancer is devastating but seeing your child suffer through cancer is torture. This is a story of holding on when your entire world is falling apart and remaining strong while doing so. Even though I will not be reading this book (not my typical genre), I can already say that it is an inspiring one. Congratulations on the BOTD!

That's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.

It's such a sad and touching story to read, the fact that it involves losing a child after the struggle to save his life. Looking at Chad's picture on the cover page makes me feel pain for the lost child
I eagerly desire to read this book and get to know how the family coped up with the tough times during Chad's illness and after his passing on.

I can only imagine the emotional depth and courage it takes for the author to share her son's leukemia journey. The mere description of the challenges the family faced and the difficult decisions they had to make tugs at my heartstrings. I appreciate the effort put into crafting a tribute to Chad's memory.

Chad’s Triumph

I enjoyed this read very much. Being able to feel the emotions of the author and follow along with the timeline as if we were there is a major benefit. Having to put so much energy into reliving a situation says a lot about one’s character because it’s not easy. Reading about a person’s journey in life is always a win win in my book.

“Chad’s Triumph” by Diana J Meyer is a non-fictional story about a boy named Chad, the author’s first-born child who was suffering from leukemia. What made things worse is the parents’ fight for legal custody that was transferred to the government. The parents struggled with what was best for Chad, should they have him undergo cancer treatment or let him die without too much suffering. Being a parent, I would want what was best for my child but I could not just let her die without trying every treatment available. This is a heart-breaking story and Chad’s parents had to ultimately deal with his tragic death. This is a well-written book that due to so much detail it drags at times but it deserves the 4 out of 4-star rating.
