Such a tragic loss is beyond my comprehension. This book sounds like a lovely ode to people who have passed away, cherishing memories of their lives via words. I can't wait to read it, for sure.

It's a sad fact that Ovarian cancer is difficult to diagnose until it claims the lives of its victims. It is nice that the author wishes the proceeds from his memoir to go to the disease that cost him his wife, daughter, and indirectly his granddaughter, Abigail. Nice review.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I have added this to my list of books to read. I can't imagine losing both his wife and daughter to ovarian cancer. From the sample I could tell that he loved his granddaughter very much. In a way I can relate to Abigail the most. My daddy died from an accident when I was 1 1/2 years old. Many years later mom wrote about him and about her. Though I did know his family later on, I don't remember him so I'm very thankful that the author did this for his granddaughter.

This is a heartbreaking story, a memoir of the author. He wanted to tell to his granddaughter who's never seen her mother about her mother and her grandmother. His grief because of the loss of his wife and daughter. It's a beautiful story in the same time. Thanks to your wonderful review.

It was brave of the author to share personal struggles about his wife's and daughter's cancer. I'm not into memoirs but I think this book contains more knowledge than what we can imagine. Thanks for the review.

Dear Abigail by Richard Rees reflects the deep anguish the author felt when he lost his beloved and his realization of the eternal laws of God.

I absolutely love the motivation of the author(s) for writing this book. If I were Abigail, I would totally be emotionally touched and feel valued because of how much effort my relatives/family would put into making sure that I do not feel left out. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

One of the best things we can do to heal is share our story and be able to relive the good times we've had. I'm happy that Mr. Rees has found ways to do both of these. Sharing his story can also be helpful to others who are facing or have faced devastating parts of their life. Thank you for a great review!

Gosh this seems like such a sad book. But these are the types of books I enjoy reading. From what I read above I'm already intrigued by what I've read. I'm going to look into reading this book soon.

From the start of your review, I already know a 100% that I would like this book, no matter how hard it will make me cry. Personal letters always get to my heart, and I do not have a particular reason why, it just makes me tear up reading letters addressed to someone else. Seeing other people's stories unfold in the letters mean something to me.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review!
