I’m looking forward to digging into this book to know how the author faced and survived his obstacles in life. It’s always nice to read true stories because of the learning to be had from someone’s life. I commend the author for having courage to share his life.

I have read too many memoirs lately, but this one sounds like a great book. It is good that the author could describe well to the reader all that happened. It is good that the author had a great mother that was a positive influence in his life. I like that that's humor in the book too. Great job with the review.

This is a very well written review. I love how detailed it is.
I've recently begun to love reading historical fictions and memoirs. I cannot explain why. I think I'll be checking this one out very soon.

The book is transparent about the authors life and I find that interesting and brave, I like that it highlights every theme without being bias about the narrative.

The Reject Bench sounds like an interesting read. I love that James's mother raised them in a Godly mother and taught them not to be racist. This is what parents should emulate in raising their children.

I am not the biggest fan of books that are memoirs, because if the story does not interest me then even with great writing I probably still will not like the book. However I love that this book talks about how evil racism is. Congratulations on book of the day!

Agree! I’m glad he highlights tough issues and discusses the impact his mother had on him.
