This sounds like an amazing biography about Sarah. My main interest to reading the book is to get to experience Sarah's contribution to the society and community's welfare as well as how she managed to be part of the two exciting sports, swimming and cycling, despite her being physically challenged. I'll add the book to my want to read shelf.

"Ride On! Dame Sarah Storey's Extraordinary Journey of Triumph" by S.A. Sterling is at once an inspiring and riveting read about the life and career of, undoubtedly, one of Britain's most exceptional athletes. This collection has been dedicated to the life and rise of Dame Sarah Storey, from an ambitious young swimmer up to a world-class cyclist, setting most records en route and winning thousands of plaudits.

In this densely detailed yet engaging presentation, Sterling takes her readers through a full view of Storey's journey. Starting with Storey's first successes in swimming, her move into cycling, and then on to international success, the key moments of Storey's life are all amply covered. It is clear that Sterling does not let go of a single opportunity to unfold a little-known fact and give the reader an insight into Storey's most serene and undisturbed moments of determination, strength, and unwavering endeavor to achieve excellence.

The very structure of the book proves attractive, with Storey's personal anecdotes running parallel to much wider reflections on her impact on sports in general and disability advocacy more specifically. Sterling does a great job of actually capturing the spirit of Storey—determined, humble, indomitable—so that in effect the biography does not become some kind of achievement recap but a celebration of character and influence.

Technical aspects of cycling are, however, sometimes elaborated upon in the book and may be rather impractical for readers unfamiliar with this sport. Nevertheless, Sterling's capability to translate the experience of Storey in a very accessible and inspiring way makes up for these instances.

Overall, "Ride On!" is a tale of the great accomplishments of Dame Sarah Storey and, without a doubt, it will inspire every reader interested in sport, overcoming adversity, and simply human endurance. Sterling has done a fantastic job creating a tribute to one of the true sporting icons, whose story is as motivational as it gets.

The review provided valuable insights. The book appears intriguing, focusing on Sara's challenging upbringing, marked by a "generous" share of life's troubles and a deformity in her left arm. I'm eager to dive into the story to discover how Sara managed to achieve so much despite these obstacles.

Sterling is a biography of the exceptional achievements of Dame Sarah Storey as a swimmer, cyclist and her contributions to society. Sarah grew up in a loving family that helped shape her career and supported her during times of bullying, sickness and her relationship and marriage to Barnaby Storey. Sarah became Britain’s most decorated Paralympian and her contributions to community service and motivational speeches were amazing. Born with a deformity in her left arm, she did not give up but instead she had dreams that motivated her to excel in swimming and cycling.
