Good to see that the third part of the author's memoir is eventful but often in a positive way. Some more editing could make it really compelling. Thank you for your honest review!

I think when he began to travel to different parts of the world, that is where he got his senses. But thinking on how the Navy would benched him.
Everything that had the beginning, must surely have an end.
Thanks for your review.

Great review! I have not read the first two books in their entirety. I don't usually read autobiographies. This is by far the best of the three books in the series. Still, I found the sample to be full of information, which I think was very useful. I was surprised to read about all the ceremonies and thoroughly enjoyed the pictures.

Thanks for the excellent review! It sounds like the author carries the same pattern in all three volumes. I have enjoyed the parts about his life, but I feel the descriptions of the ship, and the countries he goes to are in too much detail in the first two volumes. It sounds like details are long in this book too!

The author is really brave for him to share such personal stories in such detail. Thanks for the review.

Between the naval traditions explained to the debilitating effects of PTSD, it sounds like this third installation of Wick's life is full of powerful themes.

This is a very vivid and descriptive review. As a potential reader I also appreciate the honesty about the reasons why it is a two out of four stars.

It seems like 3rd volume of a memoir is getting tiring for both the author and the reader and that probably justifies the repetitiveness and the grammar errors. Nevertheless, your review makes me wanna read the book despite the 2 out of 4; the guy's story seems really engaging.

This is an inspirational non-fiction autobiography highlighting the US NAVY and the experiences the author faced while traveling on missions around the world. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

The sample was mostly interesting and I find the author to be candid and resilient. The geography, history and details about the Navy are fascinating along with the photographs. However, this book is not the kind of memoir that I could really enjoy.

This is the third book by Tom Wick and tells us about his navy life and mostly about the Shellback Initiation Ceremony aboard the USS Gridley. Congratulations BOTD!

Journey at sea is no less than a mental trauma to the person. It sounds like an adventure from the second person view but it is not so pleasing for the sailors. Would have read the book had it not been rated for profanity and abusive words.

It looks like these series of books should have a second round of editing. Maybe it could be just in one longer book since it has been commented how it is a bit redundant. Thanks for your review.
