Cloning, in vitro fertilization, genome editing and many more scientific topics are being discussed. I would love to read this book and understand more about the topics. Great review.

Thanks for the excellent review! I am sure science lovers will enjoy this book. I don't believe we should experiment in trying to clone another life of any kind! Why change the make-up of a living thing, whether it be a person, an animal, or even a plant! God created all things in His "perfect" wisdom and I believe humankind is playing with fire in this area! Just my opinion, but I will definitely pass on this book!

Sounds like a great book. Genetics is a really important part of modern world development. And we should be aware of what is happening in this world. The author surely did a great job of informing people.

A fascinating topic that the author deftly approaches. He is well-versed in the subject and I liked the way he uses logic and a scientific approach to his discussion. He does point out that what start out with good intentions can lead to disastrous consequences. The genie is definitely out of the bottle and if humans have the capacity for applying the appropriate level of responsibility remains to be seen. Thanks for the excellent review.

I don't think I will be reading this book. It seems interesting enough but that topic might be too complex for me to have a steady flow of thought. I live the review though. It's very objective and professional considering the difficulty of reviewing these kinds of books. Great job

This is a unique book that discusses about eugenics and how it may be possible to recreate extinct species. Congratulations BOTD!

Well, eugenics is a very interesting topic. One can create anything with it. As a biology student, I have the conscience of what risks does that technology pose to humanity. I agree that the government should be funding cures rather than wars. New eugenics can also be a boon. Reading something like this would be knowledgeable for me. Thank you for your insightful review :tiphat:

The topic does sound interesting. I think when the author talked about 'it would only be available to people who are too rich', it was probably about the exorbitant price. But I liked the reasoning of the reviewer about it. While I'm always interested in learning about new things, and genetics is a cool topic to explore, I'm not sure if I'm up for a 400+ pages read.

The books sounds too logical, and I feel that at some point it may unintentionally hurt the sentiments of the reader who looks more towards philosophical approach when finding answers to their problems, rather than logic.

Reading your review, I am interested in reading the book. I'm just a bit worried if the book might be too scientific for me. But still, great review.
