Many people don't like memoirs but I think they are the best. So real, especially when you know the emotions and trials these people are real and not ordinary fiction. Wonderful review

I can relate. I lost my father to cancer at an early age and recently lost my brother. So, I think this book might help me with the aspects of grief with which I'm still struggling. And I like the idea that the author involved other artistic genres, such as poetry and music. Thank you!

I like the rich symbolism that Meg Nocero used in the title. The same can be said for the parts of the book that talk about grief, transformation, and freedom.

While, I am mature enough to understand that such book can inspire and help people with extremely hard life experiences, one word "grief" in subtle make me put it aside in a hurry. Unfortunately, I will have to pass this book, but would like to offer my most sincere congratulations on BOTD!

The author narrates her journey of coping with grief after her mother's death. The devastating loss opened a new chapter in her life, and the resulting transformation is noteworthy. The book is also an ode to her amazing mother.

The book seems to be a great work of struggling in one's life and then come out of that as a winner. The review has brought out these things nicely. The book seems to be an inspirational work worth going for. Would check it.

We all need a support group to get us through a crisis any day. And to lose a loved one is an especially big blow. I love that the review gives us hope, likened to a butterfly that rises. It is a book of love and duty, of care and success after a struggle. A thoughtful change. Thank you. Hope to read it one day soon.

I'm intrigued with the author's take on grief and especially the part with poetry. It is definitely a hard-hitting topic. I agree that there is a huge importance of having the right people around each other. Great job with the review.

I read the sample and I have to say it's quite heartfelt and very sad. The narrator has my sympathies and I wish her all possible healing.. Her agony is very palpable. I wish she could be there for her forever.
I love the line which goes: "As I felt my baby move inside me, I held on, trying to calm her while my mother was trying to calm me."
