The relationship between technology and mental health in the modern world is a significant and pressing subject. This book looks like it will be enjoyed by a niche readership.

Although addressing mental illness is a critical need in society, it's not particularly a topic of personal interest. Also, the review suggests that the book is a bit too academic in scope, so I'll take a pass on it.

I like the subtle approach this author uses, including humor, to discuss a sensitive topic such as mental illness. However, I think the overly complex nature of the writing would make it a bit too difficult to fully understand. Mental health empathizers would enjoy this book

I appreciate that Martin covered many thought-provoking topics related to mental health, identity, and the impacts of technology and media. Books that tackle complex issues from multiple angles can be quite insightful.

I consider your opinion quite true, looking at the author's choice of name, it would be very much of interest to anyone in the field of psychology and has built the ability to study for a better understanding of the subject, and patience to stay through to the end.

Donald Trump's hair? Although hilarious, I feel many of his followers might not find the analogy funny if it was used in a demeaning sense. I hope that was not the case; I guess I'd know when I read the book.

The review given for the book Elliott B. Martin, Jr.‘s Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age, is very detailed. I appreciate the example given , it helped to understand better, and I agree the phrase was very intellectual , has to read couple of time with paises to understand the meaning. Anyone who is not into the core subject, will have a hard time keeping up with the book. But as mentioned in the review, the book is very detailed, so people with interest on the subject shall find it very helpful.

Good topic, outstanding title, but it doesn't matter if the book is not well written. I wish author had used a more uncomplicated style of writing.
Thanks for the review.

Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital explores the intersection of mental health and technology. This timely book tells how the digital age has transformed our understanding of mental illness, treatment options, and societal attitudes towards mental health. Martin argues that advancements in technology, such as teletherapy and mental health apps, have the potential to revolutionize mental health care. He also addresses the ethical implications of utilizing technology in this field and offers insights on how we can harness the power of digital tools to provide better mental health care for all.i also will say i agree with this author view concerning autism and narcissism

I was instantly drawn in by the book's cover and title. It makes the crucial yet overlooked connection between mental illness and digitalization. Despite the cautionary remarks, I would like to give it a try. Congrats on BOTD! Best wishes!

As one who has studied the earliest extant written languages it has been my experience, if not yet firm conclusion, drawn from observation and a fair to middling intellect-rather than from review of nonsensical 'randomized clinical trials-that early texts carry a certain pure fascination value, a curiosity, if nothing else, by virtue of their age and utter foreignness." I quoted this from the book to demonstrate the point I made earlier. Besides the punctuation error, this sentence is so unnecessarily confusing and complicated. I had to read it multiple times to understand the message being passed across.
- This is quite right. I feel the same way after reading it. Therefore I won't bother reading the book. It was an informative review which is appreciated very much. Thank you.

Thank you for your honest and informative review!

Elliott B. Martin, Jr.'s "Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age" seemingly delves into various aspects of mental illness, including identity, suicide, media influence, and substance addiction, infused with historical context. While the book seemingly offers deep insights and personal opinions, its dense and convoluted writing style may make it challenging to understand. Despite this, it seemingly provides valuable content for intellectuals and psychology students. Despite its mixed readability, I would check out this book for its seemingly valuable content.
