The story is quite saddening and heartbreaking. Trust in God is indeed the most powerful feeling. I wonder what happens next in the book. I mean after the death of her husband in the story, what else is left to share in the story? Mourning, inspiration, summons, etc.? Looks like I have to find it out myself.

I'm glad the author was able to deal with her loss in a healthy way. However, this book has nothing to interest me, so I won't bother to read it. I enjoyed reading your review though.

Firstly, there is something catchy about the book's title "His Sunrise My Sunset" which makes me want to read it. I find love related stories very captivating so i would definitely read this book. From the review, i am of the opinion that Mrs Hursts and her deceased husband were genuine examples of a true love story. Starting their love journey at ages 17 and 19, created a family and continued fueling their love until death separated them is such a heart touching story. In a world where people allow love to slip away and chase after lustful things, this author has proven in her narrative that true love still exists.

This is a uniquely inspiring non-fiction book highlighting the true story of how one woman survived a catastrophic car accident that resulted in the loss of her husband of 44 years. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review.

Such an experience was stunning. I think this is the time that the author recorded as the worse moment of her life. I just like how strong she is to stand firm through this trying period. Thanks for the great review.

Life is indeed unpredictable. But how one manages his adversities determines how happy they'll be eventually.
I love the fact that Jan was able to cope well with the challenge of losing her dear husband, by getting closer to God and joining support groups.
Thanks for the beautiful review.

I like heart-wrenching romance stories, but as an atheist, I don't think I'd like this story. I would have been more interested in reading His Sunrise, My Sunset if it were a work of fiction because it would have given Hurst the opportunity to embellish the story, better focus on the story's most important theme, and still draw inspiration from her real-world personal experiences. I like the theme of holding onto your faith in god after losing a loved one: I think it's a very interesting theme that I think would be better explored through a fictional narrative. But I suppose some people might think this story is more valuable when told as a non-fiction book.

In this book, Ms. Hurst recounts how she and Steve became lovers who cherished each other. Along the line, one died, leaving the other heartbroken. This books content is touching and will be a good read for those that lost their spouse at some point.

The review on 'His Sunrise, My Sunset' reminds readers that Jan Hurst's account on pain of loss of her husband, and her retrospective look on their fulfilling relationship as a life lesson to all people. As the reviewer gave away that it help in his marriage. Further he agrees that other people's support is an important vehicle to help those who grief to let go from pain and loss as well as means to find a new purpose in the new normal, which author's describes as sunset. To me the reviewer has managed to place the book at level it deserve.

The review seems lovely. It expresses the bond and love between the author of the novel and her partner, which I find beautiful. It additionally emphasizes that even though we experience loss, this doesn't mean we should lose our faith in God. I would like to read the novel.

I am so excited to read this book! I also lost a spouse, so I feel like I will be able to relate to her story. Seeing that she’s a Christian and loves the lord makes it even better!

Books on love and loss are relatable with the lives of the readers. Life is all about holding on to the beautiful memories and relationships that come our way.
