Digging for God is a thoughtful insight into renewing your mind. Relaxing at the ashram for three weeks will not only renew your mind, but allow those three weeks to fully explore God and his truly wonderful world.

Thank you for this review. "I don't know if I should thank or frown at Mr. Hillman for making me crave spending some time in such a resort that he so excellently describes." - I couldn't agree with you more! I don't see myself being able to do an overnight retreat as described for a number of years based on my current stage of life, so this sentiment really hits home.

Congrats on BOTD.
Tom Hillman's Digging for God is a beautifully written account of life in an ashram. The author's sense of humor added enjoyment to the text. The ashram's social life, tranquility, and emotion of belonging were all uplifting.

I have read this book. The book talks about the author's experience of an ashram retreat in the mountains. The author speaks of the disciplined life of an ashram and the physical hard work that can be daunting. Some search for answers and God in the quietness of an ashram life. But do they really find the answers? Read the book to find out.

From the way it was described I expected the book to be an at least decent length. I was taken aback when I read that it was only 25 pages

This book is delightful read. The author's three week trip to the ashram was filled with peace, serenity and a little bit of work also. I enjoyed the book and I loved the aspect that unlike its name, it's not a religion related book. It's simply a beautiful experience the author shared in this book.

This review does a great job of capturing the essence of "Digging for God" and making it sound like an immersive and engaging read. The reviewer’s appreciation for Hillman’s vivid descriptions and humor makes the book even more enticing. Their insight into the second-person narrative and its impact is particularly interesting. It’s great to see how the book inspired introspection and reflection. The mention of flawless editing and the clarification about the book’s non-religious nature add extra value. Overall, it’s a compelling and well-balanced review that makes "Digging for God" sound like a must-read.

In Digging for God, Tom Hillman, the author, transports readers into an all-men, three-week retreat in an ashram. He begins by describing the journey to the camp and what one intends to achieve by visiting the ashram, and also describes the activities in the resort and provides the timetable for these activities. Recounting how it feels to live in the ashram, the ashram is every man for himself digging for God.
